GISBORNE TOUCH RUGBY WEEK

Get ready for an action packed week of activity from Monday 4th to Friday 8th December. Hopefully you are already linked to the great activations throughout the week. If not, at least try and get down to see NZ’s number 1 summer oval-ball sport and/or see how you can be part of it this summer or within summers to come

 

MONDAY 4 th DECEMBER 2017 Junior Touch Evening
If your child is not playing, here is your opportunity check out the league and ask some questions about NZ’s number 1 summer oval-ball sport.
Venue: Barry Park, Barry Ave

  • Time: 4.00pm – 6.00pm
  • Exhibition game: Parents vs Children Showdown, 5.30pm

 

TUESDAY 5 th DECEMBER 2017 

Skills and Games session – Learn the keys skills of the game through fun and games.
Between 12-18 years of age? Sign up a skills workshop lead by Touch NZ and Gisborne region coaches/players. Don’t miss out on this rare opportunity.
Venue: Barry Park, Barry Ave

  • Time: 4.00 – 6.00pm
  • Target age group: 12-18 years of age

Coaches session – Getting the edge from leaders in the game
An exclusive opportunity for selected coaches and players to get Q&A and practical
sessions with Touch NZ coaching staff

Selected students and teachers from Gisborne schools get to be part of an iCoach video resources that will be recorded to support Year 1/2 primary school coaches and players throughout the country. *Closed sessions

Here is a chance to check out another side to the social game of Touch Rugby which involves higher level of organised plays and skill sets. Bigger steps, faster runaways, spectacular dives, and harder touches are on the menu tonight.
