Kahutia Bowling Club

The clubhouse is set in beautiful grounds featuring a unique wahoroa at its entrance and two enormous Pohutukawa trees nearby, all gifted by Sir James and Lady Carroll.

The two superb greens are of Star Weed combination mix. What an amazing surface to play on. Come along and try – you will be made most welcome.

The Clubhouse is extremely user friendly. The facilities are great and available for hire at a very reasonable cost.

There is also a gravelled Pétanque playing area within the grounds. Email [email protected] for more details.

Poverty Bay Bowling Club

“Get active, have fun, play bowls” – is what we do at the Poverty Bay Bowling club.
This friendly club has the only artificial green in Gisborne. This allows us to play summer and winter on the days we want to play because our greens drip dry instantly!

All types of bowls are catered for from regular social, championship and inter club bowls. We also have a good balance of women and men bowlers.
